It's amazing where you can end up when you don't want to drive and let the democracy of a car packed full of crazy people choose the destination. For me, it was the strip on New Year's Eve, a couple minutes before midnight. I usually sit at home and watch the insanity on TV or go to a party, where we laugh at the drunks climbing street lights on the news... but this year, I was right in the middle of it. For the most part, it felt surreal. Without an announcer or pretty reporter, it's just chaos. Kind of funny when things seem more real on TV or in movies than they do in real life.

So, I think I'm going through withdrawal from not playing guitar all day today, nor yesterday. Seriously.. I think I twitched a little when I typed that last sentence. I'm tempted to take a break for a minute and hit the strings, but I know once I start playing the day (and night) will get away from me. Ah... at least it's for a good cause. What cause you ask?
